FAQ’S

How do I talk to customer service?

Our customer service team are at their desks Monday to Friday from 8.30AM to 4.30PM, except on public holidays in which case they’ll probably be at the beach. Reach them via email enquiries@teadrop.com.au or on the phone by dialling 1300 832 376. That number is toll free so you can gas bag all you like.

Can I sell Tea Drop in my establishment?

We would love nothing more. Call us on 1300 832 376 or email wholesale@teadrop.com.au and our tea specialists will make it happen.

How can I purchase Tea Drop tea?

In our online shop or on the phone 1300 832 376. Better yet, if you’re in town come to our bricks and mortar store. The address is Shop #34, South Melbourne Market, Corner of Cecil and Coventry Street, Victoria 3205.

Where do you source your tea?

From some beautiful places around the world such as China, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Africa and Taiwan.

How do I know the quality and safety of Tea Drop products?

All of our teas are rigorously tested for food safety and comply with EU regulations. The EU has strict pesticide standards and it also has test laboratories that detect pesticides at lower levels. They make sure we’re squeaky clean.

How long does your tea stay fresh?

The answer is…it depends on the tea. Because some of our blends have big chunks of fruit, chocolate and other great stuff, they don’t always stay fresh as long as our traditional straight teas. To keep your teas fresh, always store them in a cool, dry and dark place. Also, keep them well sealed.

As a guideline we usually suggest fruit and nut teas be consumed within six months from date of purchase, straight teas within three years.

What is your tea pouch made of?

A lovely thing called SOILON, which is composed of biomass material derived from plants.

Is your tea certified organic?

We’re very proud to say that yes, it is. Our organic tea range is certified by IMO.

How much caffeine is there in a cup of tea?

It’s hard to say for sure because there are lots of things that affect it such as water temperature and steeping time. However, we can guarantee our herbal teas are caffeine free.

What is the difference between natural flavouring and artificial flavouring?

Good question. Natural flavouring comes from all natural sources, such as essential oils, essences or extracts. When it complies with certain regulatory standards, we get to use the word natural.

When a flavour doesn’t come entirely from natural sources, it’s considered artificial. Some artificial flavourings are almost 100% natural – others are entirely man made. But if any component of a flavour is created artificially, it has to be labelled as artificial. Why use artificial flavouring? We always use the most delicious, best quality ingredients we can find, and sometimes an all-natural option simply isn’t available.

How should I store my tea?

Keep it in a dry and cool place (definitely under 25 degrees), away from the stove and out of the refrigerator or freezer. Also, keep it away from other strong smell items. Generally an airtight container is the best home, it protects against exposure to light, humidity and high temperatures.
