How do I know the quality and safety of Tea Drop products?

All of our teas are rigorously tested for food safety and comply with EU regulations. The EU has strict pesticide standards and it also has test laboratories that detect pesticides at lower levels. They make sure we’re squeaky clean.

How long does your tea stay fresh?

The answer is…it depends on the tea. Because some of our blends have big chunks of fruit, chocolate and other great stuff, they don’t always stay fresh as long as our traditional straight teas. To keep your teas fresh, always store them in a cool, dry and dark place. Also, keep them well sealed.

As a guideline we usually suggest fruit and nut teas be consumed within six months from date of purchase, straight teas within three years.

What is your tea pouch made of?

Our pyramid tea bags are made from Soilon, a biodegradable plant-based material that is not plastic. It can be added to your own home compost and they decompose, though it takes longer than other items. These tea bags meet composability standards in Japan, Europe, and North America, but the manufacturer suggests commercial composting as a faster option.

How much caffeine is there in a cup of tea?

It’s hard to say for sure because there are lots of things that affect it such as water temperature and steeping time. However, we can guarantee our herbal teas are caffeine free.
