Great Green Tea

This has a very distinctive "green tea" flavour (funnily enough!) and is definitely Chinese style bordering on a Japanese green. It's fresh without being too dry, crisp without the dry aftertaste and robust without being a punch in the face. A great middle of the road - but not boring - green. I'm really glad that I have bought a large pouch of this because I am really enjoying it.

Longjing tea

Received a good batch of fresh great smelling tea. Good flavour and colour, just as all good Longjing tea should have..

I was a little disappointed to not receive the free 50g of tea as advertised online when I shopped though, as I did spend over $50 with you...?

Tea Drop

Hi Angus, Thank you for the lovely feedback on our Longjin tea. We are so sorry about the disappointment with the free tea promotion. When the cart reaches $50 the free tea selection automatically pop ups on the cart for the customer to select the free tea. If the tea has not been selected we assume that the free tea is not wanted. We will be in touch :-) Thank you.

Enjoyable

I quite enjoyed it, different to any other green teas I’ve had. For me, I preferred the Dragon Pearl tea :)

Origins

China, Zhejiang Hangzhou

Longjing is known as the ‘Queen of Green Tea’ – and was the tea favoured by royalty during the Qing Dynasty. Produced mostly by hand for more than 1200 years, Longjing is celebrated for its emerald green colour, sweet taste, beautiful shape and rich fragrance. Longjing village is situated Hangzhou in China’s Zhejiang province – which has a moderate climate and high altitude, perfect for the production of tea. Humidity rules. The misty fields are nourished by low fogs and running streams. The leaves are picked and roasted on the same day, and the roasters use their bare hands to feel the heat and dryness of the leaves as they roast.
