Origins

Sri Lanka, Kandy Region

The tea industry was born in Ceylon when James Taylor started a tea plantation in Loolecondera estate in Kandy in 1867. He was drawn to the region and it’s not hard to see why, the Kandyan Hills are spectacular - marked by a cool, calming atmosphere and heady fragrant breezes. It is one of Sri Lanka’s most flourishing tea growing regions, but it was also the last Kingdom of Sri Lanka. Known as the central province of Sri Lanka, the tea estates are dotted in the hills surrounding the low-lying valley of Kandy. The altitude is considered ‘mid-grown’, the estates are surrounded by mountains all around, which protects them from wind and helps produce a deeper-coloured, bright and fragrant tea. It’s a strong and full bodied brew.

An Earl Grey worthy of the description

When I feel like tea, I look to the Earl Grey, always have. Discovered this at a cafe, and was grateful to find I can order as well.

Delicious brewed, and a balanced bold flavour that has to be enjoyed.

Sensational Earl Grey

I had never heard of Tea Drop until someone mentioned it on a forum. I thought it was worth a try. Oh my goodness, I love it and will be definitely buying more. From a serious Earl Grey lover

Perfect balanced earl grey

This is my new go to earl grey. I find a lot of earl greys can be bitter. This one is perfect and I will only be ordering from tea drop now!

Delicious

I like that the EG is large leaf. Fresh and fragrant. I’d be happier with simpler packaging but the resealable bag is excellent.
